Decorating for Halloween

I was just asked to provide decorations for my daughter's kindergarten class Halloween party.

My blood pressure will be elevated until it is over.

If it were really up to me, I would love to decorate - it's just the time it takes to make good decorations that I don't have that makes it stressful. I predict I will spend a lot of time looking up ideas, day dreaming, and then will end up buying some decorations that really aren't so cute or spooky...

Anyways, I'm still in the researching phase, so I thought I'd share a few fun websites with DIY ideas that I have found for decorations:

Here are some ideas on ivillage with candy garlands, black hanging spiders, etc.:

I loved the ideas on this blog, but they might take me a year to make:

And this one has fun, simple ideas with great pictures:

I just love looking, and procrastinating the actual doing.

I found this one years ago and I do it every year cause it's so simple but adds so much. Take large black garbage bags and cut them open (cut down one side , and across the bottom). Then cut 2- 3 inch strips all the way across (leave 3 or 4 inches uncut at the top so they all stay together). Then gently stretch each strip about every 6 inches. Then hang them in a door way or line the edge of a table with a bunch of them. Once I put them near the ceiling all the way around my living room (it was a small room).
Here's something similar: http://www.marthastewart.com/article/crepe-paper-curtains?backto=true&backtourl=/photogallery/halloween-decorating#slide_51
