is it another Sign?

My husband's solar-powered watch died this morning. He's had it for five years. He looked up the owner's manual and confirmed that it had died because it had not been exposed to enough light.

We laughed.

Apparently those watches are not designed for people living in the Northwest.

We decided we probably shouldn't mention it to my husband's family. We used to joke with them a lot about the weather here, but we are beginning to notice that they don't seem to think our hilarious jokes are so funny any more.

Or, maybe the problem could lie in the hours my husband works as a medical resident. He leaves at 5:15 a.m. and doesn't get home until after 6:30 p.m. He doesn't see the sun, (if it happens to peak through the clouds during the day), or even the natural light from the cloud-covered sky.

We decided that we need to get one of those "happy lights" and recently started taking vitamin D (at my mom's insistence)... plus, now my husband needs a new "normal" watch.

This is too funny! What a testament to the life of a resident!!

Do they really make "happy lights?" lol

Oh wow - that is pretty hilarious! I love the idea of supplementing with vitamin D and getting a sun lamp. It can get so dreary and depressing in our area - cloudy almost all winter. Yuck!
