BUYING KIDS' SHOES DURING RESIDENCY

I love to buy new running shoes. I have a weakness for comfortable, well-made (and usually expensive) shoes that make my feet happy. I think taking care of your feet is very important.

So, my 2-year old has a shoe fetish. My 7 and 5-year old insist on buying shoes with the Nike swoosh. Luckily my 6-month old is not walking yet so we don't put shoes on him.

We went to Kohl's today and purchased three pairs of pricey children's running shoes. The category of my March budget for 'Miscellaneous' is completely gone... and it's only the 4th.

I'm not sure how we are going to survive residency buying shoes for four children! Hopefully the extra we spent today for the *swoosh* symbol will pay off later.

Any recommendations for places to buy quality running shoes for children?

Online online online! There are places like 6pm.com and shoebuy.com. Know what, go to ebates.com and search for shoes. That site lists discount codes also. Sometimes you get an extra 20% off. I use a few websites for shoes.

Timani,
You are so fun! I love your comments. And thank you for that advice on shoes! I wish I could make it so that people could just see the comments below my posts and not have to click on them... -Liz
