I enjoyed listening to this speech by the founder of Kiva. Microfinance is such a simple yet powerful idea. I loved her thoughts on the importance of love being part of the equation when we give money to the poor, and also believing in each other, and the good that can come from it.
I added Kiva to my list of important sites. Someday I would like to be one of their volunteer fellows. Oh my goodness, that would be sooo neat.
